In late summer of 2016, Tim Elsea assumed the position of director of Lane County Public Works in Eugene, OR. He dedicated the next 16 months of his life to helping his 340 full-time employees serve the city’s population. Tim Elsea worked with the Engineering and Construction Services division to create and implement several projects.
They set a Transportation Safety Action and a Transportation System plan in place, created Oregon’s first Fatal Crash Investigation Team, and established a Bridge Seismic Resiliency Analysis process.
