Tim Elsea’s hard work as a public employee shows in his positive work ethic and his dedication to excellence. He is not afraid of a challenge and enjoys being a leader. His job as the Director of Lane County Public Works in Oregon has helped him to solve many complex challenges in the fields of engineering, transportation and land management.
One of his goals is to put great energy out into the universe. By staying positive at his job and leading his employees to excellence, he is inspiring those around him to do the same. He hopes to make a difference for public employees, changing the way the world looks at these types of jobs.
He graduated from Clemson University with a bachelors of science in civil engineering. This background drew him to a job where he could use his skills and knowledge relating to transportation, capital improvement plans, road and bridge maintenance, parks and recreation and waste management. He has had hands-on training in all of these areas and now uses these skills in his position as Director.
Tim has held several jobs in the public sector. He has been the Director and assistant director of the public works departments in several different states and towns. He has acquired the skills and knowledge to take on many different projects, helping people wherever he goes.
When Tim Elsea is not working, he enjoys mountain biking and snowboarding. He participated in the 1979 Collegiate Skydiving National Championships and was a member of the Dixie Skydivers during his time at Clemson. He hopes to one day publish a leadership book and to see the Northern Lights.
